Hmm。 Some Jory John books rank near the top of my favourite picture books list, but this one didn't really work for me。 I think it would work around Eastertime, as an accompaniment to an egg hunt。I think the story had a combination of language too challenging for the age range, and a story that had no twist。 It's an egg hunting for his friends, with Jory's trademark message at the end。The problem was - I didn't laugh。 Some of the egg illustrations are colourful and cute, but this wouldn't be the Hmm。 Some Jory John books rank near the top of my favourite picture books list, but this one didn't really work for me。 I think it would work around Eastertime, as an accompaniment to an egg hunt。I think the story had a combination of language too challenging for the age range, and a story that had no twist。 It's an egg hunting for his friends, with Jory's trademark message at the end。The problem was - I didn't laugh。 Some of the egg illustrations are colourful and cute, but this wouldn't be the best starting point for Jory's books。 。。。more

I hope the creators of this book don't read this review。 Sorry。 I do not get the draw of this book at。 all。 There were two interesting spreads。 Otherwise rambling, dull。 Barely punny。 Not trying to be rude。 One I think parents will hide at bedtime。 Please judge for yourself。 I hope the creators of this book don't read this review。 Sorry。 I do not get the draw of this book at。 all。 There were two interesting spreads。 Otherwise rambling, dull。 Barely punny。 Not trying to be rude。 One I think parents will hide at bedtime。 Please judge for yourself。 。。。more

I am enjoying these books at my age now than I probably would have when I was the target age in the mid 1960s !!All we had back then was Dr Seuss who was great and dopey Dick and Jane and Carolyn Heyward, which were not。No Mo Willems, Kevin Henke, Kate DiCamillo or Jory John - so better late than never !! 😆😆😆😆

Cute and these eggs have attitude (good playful ones)。 I like the use of Shel and the play on words names。 I wonder how I would feel opening a carton of eggs from the store and finding them all different colors?

Ive read the other books in the series and this one was probably my least favorite。 It was entertaining and very upbeat which makes it a great book for kids。 The illustrations are also very bold, which will catch the attention of kid。 This story is all about Shel and her egg family。 Everyone but Shel leaves the cartoon to go run around the store and decide to play a game of hide and seek。 Shel starts to get nervous because no one comes back for lunch so she decides to go look for them。 She hunts Ive read the other books in the series and this one was probably my least favorite。 It was entertaining and very upbeat which makes it a great book for kids。 The illustrations are also very bold, which will catch the attention of kid。 This story is all about Shel and her egg family。 Everyone but Shel leaves the cartoon to go run around the store and decide to play a game of hide and seek。 Shel starts to get nervous because no one comes back for lunch so she decides to go look for them。 She hunts around the entire store and finds everyone, but meg。 The find and clue to where she is hiding and finally find her in a big tub of coffee。 They all then go home and hang out together。 It’s a very cue story but just not as good as the others in the series。 。。。more

Is it a bit of a rehash? Yes。 But do kids love these adorable books。 Also, yes。 I'm feeling it。 I think I'll be including this one in a storytime soon。 I like the way it helps children to understand the world a bit more clearly。 Particularly right now, when kids are primarily stuck at home, I think there's a lot of value in books that explore the places that would normally be a part of their daily life。 Now is not the time to bring kids into the grocery store。 It's the time to read to them about Is it a bit of a rehash? Fun children's book about the Good Egg and his adventures in a store。 Illustrations are charming。 Text is simple。 The eggs go out on adventures and the Good Egg is worried about people returning in time to their egg carton。 It doesn't have as cool of a message as the 4 main books in this series, but it's an adventure and thus fun especially for young ones。Great book for the 3-8yo in your life。 Fun children's book about the Good Egg and his adventures in a store。 Illustrations are charming。 Text is simple。 The eggs go out on adventures and the Good Egg is worried about people returning in time to their egg carton。 It doesn't have as cool of a message as the 4 main books in this series, but it's an adventure and thus fun especially for young ones。Great book for the 3-8yo in your life。 。。。more
